Co-founder & Chief Product Officer, Eologix-Ping
Matthew Stead is Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of EOLOGIX-PING, a specialist sensor technology company developing blade condition monitoring, icing and lightning sensing systems for wind turbines, with operations in Graz, Austria and Adelaide, Australia.
Matthew leads product strategy — from on-blade sensor integration through to fleet-level decisions. He collaborates with wind farm operators, OEMs, and insurers to translate continuous monitoring data into actionable maintenance intelligence, helping operators manage blade risk and reduce unplanned maintenance costs.
A recognised contributor to international standards, Matthew is an active participant in the IEC TC88 working group developing IEC 61400-32, which defines requirements for blade Operations & Maintenance.
His focus is on what continuous blade monitoring can deliver in practice — giving operators earlier visibility of damage, fewer unplanned interventions, and better-informed repair decisions. He brings a commercial and technical perspective to how emerging CMS standards can help the industry meet real customer demands: longer blade life, lower O&M costs, and greater confidence in fleet-wide asset health.
