Emma is a PhD research student at Queen’s University Belfast. As part of her research she is involved in a project which aims to explore sustainable repurposing strategies for decommissioned wind turbine blades. This project engages with a multidisciplinary team with research areas in Wind Energy, Design, Structural Mechanics and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Her role within the project lies within the GIS discipline with her research focusing on the development and use of GIS tools for blade reuse.
